Alex Stoesen was recently appointed to his third five year term on the North Carolina Highway
Historical Marker Advisory Committee, which is responsible for determining where, on the
highways, historical markers are to be placed.
For
the past 16 years Dick Black has been employed as the Executive Director 0f the South Carolina's
Lions Club. Inc. This organization oversees the Lions Club International activities in the State.
Dick is finally retiring again, and this time for good. He and Inez will remain in West Columbia,
SC, but will be spending some time at their beach cottage at Oceans Lakes Campground, near
Surfside Beach. Enjoy a well deserved retirement. (5/18/2001)
In June, Burk Andrews was re-elected Chairman of the 10 member Prince William Public Library
System Board of Trustees, which oversees two Regional Libraries, two Community Libraries, and six
Neighborhood Libraries, serving the County of Prince William and the cities of Manassas and Manassas

The Winter 2009 Edition of the Alumni News states that "Former golf pro Wofford (Bubba) Williams was
featured in the Spartan Herald Journal aarticle on his golf game and his ability to shoot his age."
Also,in the same Alumni News was an article and photo featuring our "World Traveler," Alex Stosesen.

Carmine, alias "PEC" ran for office in Waldo County, ME and was elected Selectman, a New England term
for City Commisssioner or Councilman. Congrats "PEC"
